Source Code

I’m a coder and a hacker. No, I don’t break into computers, but I love to make computers and other electronic devices do things they weren’t designed to in the first place. That’s what a hacker is. Someone who hacks onto a thing until it does what he or she wants. And that is what I am – or at least what I would like to be.

I’m the kind of guy who likes to have one thing too many to do. I’ve started more projects than I could count, and way too many end up in the drawer when they are done. So I figured it was time to unleash some of them on the world. That’s why I’m releasing as many projects as possible as open source, and not just open source, but free software as well.

I’ve grown to become a big fan of the philosophy behind the GPL license. It is so free that it takes away your freedom to limit other users’ freedom. So use my code for whatever you’d like. Just remember that I shared it with you, and that you must the modifications you do with others.

To keep my projects in order, I’ve opened an account over at github. I’ll be hosting most of my projects there, but I’ll try to keep an up-to-date list here together with links to other source repositories.

I don’t write well-documented code when I’m working on minor projects. If you want to ask about anything regarding any of my projects, feel free to do so!

Projects

Beta releases

  • Trafikanten for Maemo
An application which uses Trafikanten’s APIs to deliver routing information in Eastern Norway.
  • mBarcode
Originally developed by Simon Pickering (and others). I’ve joined as a developer to make barcode scanning a joy on the Nokia N900 and to create a plugin for Informed Individual.

Early alpha development

Just for fun pre-alpha stuff

  • SimAnt
A java app made to test out rendering and game building.
  • BluePong
A simple Bluetooth game to test out the possibilities in writing games using Bluetooth in real time.
